LINEAR TACTICSRule for Miniature Wargames in the Eighteenth CenturyBy Larry Irons and Doug Wildfong
LINEAR TACTICS is a set of Seven Years' War rules using a 1:50 figure to man ratio and resulting in 12 figures per infantry battalion. The basic unit is the battalion/squadron, and the next higher formation is the brigade, consisting of two or more battalions/squadrons. LINEAR TACTICS uses a move/counter-move system. Cavalry has the ability to react to certain situations during the opponent's move, including exploitation of breakthroughs. However, solid lines of disciplined infantry can keep cavalry at bay.
