Howitzers The following was accidently omitted from page 37 on howitzer shell shooting. The
entire section is given here. Shell Howitzers fire shell. This was a hollow ball filled with gunpowder and ignited by a
cord fuse. The shell travelled at a higher trajectory than ball. Shell will cause two CE
casualties to the target unit automatically. This represents a morale effect. When you use
shell against enemy artillery, consult the counter-battery table. The minimum range to
fire shell is 40 cm. Use the following sequence for shooting shell:

Melee The following rule should be added to the after the melee section on page 45. The
second paragraph should read as follows: Horse charging or countercharging any troops in one rank (treat an undisordered square
as deeper than one rank) or any unformed troops (artillery is considered unformed), and
the horse and its opposition are not forced to retire, then the horse will penetrate the
opposing troops' formation. This is an involuntary interpenetration. Both sides become
disordered. The horse will then make a pursuit move. It is possible that two opposing
horse units will interpenetrate each other. The following should be added to the list of morale modifiers on page 51:
